The Natasha Denona Sunrise Palette

Ranking with the likes of Tom Ford, Chanel, etc - Natasha Denona eyeshadow palettes are pure luxury.

At least the price tag says so.

I've been dying to get my hands on a Natasha Denona eyeshadow palette, but could never quite stomach the price. That is, until I saw the Natasha Denona Sunrise Palette at a cool $65 price point (vs her usual $100+).

Don't get me wrong - $65 is still CHA-CHING. But I figured this is my chance to test out the quality of Natasha Denona eyeshadow palettes before going whole hog on say, this bad boy.

I purchased the Sunrise Palette and have been playing with it - so let's break down the pros, cons, and final thoughts.

Pros

Pigmentation

The Natasha Denona eyeshadow palettes (if they're all like the Sunrise Palette!) have incredibly pigmentation. Every single color in this palette swatched beautifully both on my arm and worn on my eyes. All shades are true to color, rich, and pigmented.

Texture

I cannot stand a rough or patchy texture in shadows, and the Natasha Denona eyeshadow did not disappoint. The eyeshadows in the Sunrise Palette were all smooth and creamy to the touch, applying beautifully.

Versatility of colors

Obviously the Sunrise Palette is filled with warm shades, but I have to give the Natasha team major credit - you can create an incredibly wide range of looks with this palette. If you want to lean more yellow/orange, you totally can. You can also go completely magenta/pink or even orange/red. There are so many possibilities with this palette and they laid out the shadows perfectly.

Cons

Price

The obvious major con with Natasha Denona eyeshadow palettes is the price. Period. I seriously couldn't think of any other major con for the Sunrise Palette other than the fact that it cost $65 for 19.25g of shadow (vs, say, the Urban Decay Born to Run Palette at $49 for 16.8g).

Final thoughts

Ultimately, the pros far outweigh the cons on the Sunrise Palette. I'm super excited I picked this palette up (during the Sephora Sale, no less) and think it was worth every penny.

So now I'm going to need someone to gift me the Biba palette, k thx.
