My Sephora Awards: The ONLY Products Worth Your $$$ In the Sale

I swear to Satan, Sephora used to never have sales and now they're like every two seconds. There's one happening right now, 20% off for VIB Rouge Members and 15% off for VIB!

I'm not complaining, Sephora, please don't take them away from us.

BUT what these constant sales do is make you feel like you constantly need more stuff. And I don't know about you, but I'm not really into more "stuff." I've got drawers overflowing with products as it is and I don't want to buy just to buy anymore.

SO - I thought to myself...what if instead of the usual "sale roundup" blog post I did a holy grail "Sephora Awards" post where I could only recommend one product per category.

That's it. ONE.

That's what we're doing today, you guys. I'm showcasing only my best of the best recommendations in all the major beauty categories and breaking down why these products are my ultimate faves.

CC Cream

IT Cosmetics

I've tried so many CC creams I can't even count - they're my fave to wear to work! The original It Cosmetics CC cream is the bomb.com. They do make a hydrating version as well as a matte version, but I find that the original is perfect for all you normal to dry skin babes. This product is medium, buildable coverage and gives a natural satin finish to the skin.

Foundation

Nars Sheer Glow

I rarely wear true foundation, but when I do I go with NARS Sheer Glow all the way. Please note I have dry skin, which is exactly why I'm into the slightly luminous/satin finish this gives to the skin. This foundation is medium, with buildable coverage.

Concealer

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer

Nars makes this amazing concealer that is best used for highlighting the face and under eye circles - do not use this to cover blemishes! What makes this concealer so great is the creamy, luminous, natural finish (which is exactly why it's not ideal for blemishes). This product has medium coverage, but is light weight and won't cake.

Bronzer/Highlighter

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow

CHARLOTTEEEEEE this product is HEAVEN! Yes, this little palette is pricey - but damn is it worth it. The bronzer included in this palette is light and natural (they make two shades!) while the highlighter is a subtle natural glow. If you're looking for that golden summer goddess glow - this one's for you.

Blush

Nars Orgasm

Is there any blush more classic than NARS Orgasm? I think not. This shade is universally flattering and gives a glowing pink flush to the cheeks. You'll look fresh faced.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Brows

Benefit Brow Basics

Benefit makes some of the best brow products in town. Or like, in the world. I also love that Benefit makes sets. You'll get flawless, perfect brows with this little set with their three most popular brow products.

Eyeshadow Primer

Smashbox Photo Finish

The Smashbox Photo Finish primer is my ride or die eyeshadow primer. I don't use concealer, I don't use Paint Pots - I use this. Every. Time. If you see me wearing eyeshadow, 100% of the time this is underneath. No eyeshadow primer holds onto shadow like this one does - and the tube lasts ages!

Eyeshadow Palette

Tarte Tartelette In Bloom

I love eyeshadow palettes with the depth of my soul, so it was super tough to pick just one. But if I had to throw ALL my palettes into the trash today and start all over - the Tartelette in Bloom is the first palette I'd repurchase. This palette has neutral, cool, and warm toned shadows. This palette also has both shimmer and matte shades. There's seriously no better all around versatile palette out there. It rocks.

Single eyeshadow

Hourglass Scattered Light

I love using these shadows as toppers over my other shadow looks - or even by themselves swept all over the lid! The Hourglass shadows have amazing texture, great pigment, and don't dry out quickly.

Eyeliner

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner

I love a good cat eye, so liquid liner is a must. I personally prefer the felt tip style liners, like this one! I also love that the Stila liner is long lasting and a true black color.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Mascara

Dior Diorshow

I both try and like a lot of mascaras, but I always come back to the original Diorshow. The brush is neither thin nor super thick. The formula is neither wet nor super dry. Dior just makes the most amazing, staple mascara. Also - no flaking!

Setting spray

Urban Decay All Nighter

Because I'm a dry skin gal, I don't have a top setting powder to share, but do love the Urban Decay setting spray. I get a burst of hydration and the benefit of long lasting makeup! And it really does help makeup last.

Lipstick

Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips 2

I'm not huge into lip products because I find them a little fussy. I rarely use a liner and just don't love anything I have to think to hard about applying precisely. That's exactly why I love Charlotte Tilbury's lipsticks, especially her new Hot Lips 2 collection. Charlotte's lipsticks are soft, creamy, pigmented but not matte - imagine the perfect satin finish that never sinks into your dry lips or cracks. I'm personally obsessed with the shade "In Love With Olivia." ALSO - these tubes are reusable! So you only have to buy refills.

Lipgloss

Fenty Gloss Bomb

I don't even know how to describe my love for this gloss - it's JUICY and FLATTERING. No wonder they call it "universal" - it definitely is. Fenty's few shades are universal on all skin types and the gloss itself has a beautiful, supple glow.

Cleansing Balm

Farmacy Green Clean

I love a good cleansing balm. I like to use balms to break down my makeup before actually cleansing my face - this helps prevent pesky breakouts! Especially because I wear makeup on the daily. Farmacy makes a great, mid-range priced cleansing balm that doesn't strip the skin, but fully breaks down your makeup.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Face Wash

Fresh Soy Face Cleanser

Face washes at Sephora are plenty, but few are actually good. Especially if you have dry skin - so many products strip the skin! The Fresh Soy cleanser is gentle, but powerful, providing a gentle but deep clean. I also love the light, fresh scent. Very spa like!

Exfoliation

Dr. Dennis Gross Peel Pads

Peel pads truly changed my life (or like, my skin). I not only have dry skin, but do have pesky tone problems. Regular exfoliation is key, but I loathe physical exfoliators because those can often damage the skin further. Enter, Dr. Dennis Gross Peel Pads. With a combo of powerful AHA and BHA, these pads are like a mini at home peel.

Moisturizer

Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Cream

It's tough to pick a moisturizer that will work for all skin types, but I truly think the Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Cream is just that. Dry, normal, or oily skin types alike will love the medium thickness and consistency of this cream. Yes, it provides a deep hydration, but manages to do so with no extra shine!

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Eye Cream

Dr. Dennis Gross Eye Serum

I sort of hate eye creams because I think they're a sham - do they even really DO anything? But I'll admit if I'm picking an eye cream, the Dr, Dennis Gross Eye Serum is my jam. The theory here is that the skin under your eyes are thin, and thus a serum makes more sense than a cream.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Face Mask

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

For all you dry to normal skin guys and gals out there - this is the mask for YOU. The Laneige Sleeping Mask provides deep overnight hydration that leaves you waking up screaming that you woke up like this: GLOWING. I'm obsessed with this mask. I love the hydration, I love that it doesn't break me out, and I love love love the results.
