My Minimal Travel Skincare Favorites

This post is sponsored by Olay.

I am officially mourning the end of summer - but just because summer’s over doesn’t mean my travel is slowing down. I have my bachelorette coming up in October, our honeymoon is later this fall, and I just got back from a quick day trip to Napa!

We were just about to hit the road when I realized this would be the perfect opportunity to talk about my favorite skincare products for an easy, minimal routine. I hate fuss when I travel - and I love multitasking products.

So, let’s break down my minimal travel skincare favorites!

Vitamin C serum

I’m addicted to vitamin c serum. If I know I’m going to be spending extra time outdoors (as one often does while traveling), I make sure to press 4-5 drops of a potent vitamin c serum into my skin before any other steps. Vitamin C helps fight against environmental factors (like pollution!) and also helps repair visible signs of skin damage (like from the sun!).

Priming moisturizer

A priming moisturizer has been a game changer in my travel routine because it helps properly hydrate and prep the skin for makeup. My favorite priming moisturizer is the Olay Regenerist Whip Face Moisturizer because it’s light, breathable, and leaves a matte finish. Even though I have dry skin (and typically prefer a glowing finish), The Olay Regenerist Whip is great for combination skin and dries quickly - meaning makeup applies flawlessly on top.

Sunscreen

Do I even need to write an entire paragraph about this one? SPF IS IMPORTANT, YA’LL. Always. Wear. SUNSCREEN. Always. I’m partial to Olay Sun (you can see my previous blog post about it here).

A deep hydration moisturizer

I like to pop a deep, hydrating moisturizer into my handbag while traveling for a hit of moisture on the go. Because my skin is so dry, I really like to press moisturizer into any dry spots as they appear throughout the day. I typically keep my other favorite Olay Red Jar, the Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream, in my bag for these moisture touch ups. The Micro-Sculpting Cream is a rich, nourishing moisturizer that is best for normal to dry skin (me!).

Both the Micro-Sculpting Cream and the Regenerist Whip contain Niacinamide (a hardworking and exciting ingredient because it regenerates surface cells and strengthens skin’s natural moisture barrier) as well as Amino–Peptide Complex II (which helps improve skin’s elasticity, smoothness, and firmness).

CC cream with SPF

Can you tell I love SPF yet? I love SPF so much I always travel with a cc cream infused with even more SPF so that I’m protected while on the go!

SPF 50 or higher, people. The higher the better!
