Our Sand Ceremony at Oracle Park

I just want to start this post by screaming:

OUR SAND CEREMONY WAS SO BEAUTIFUL AND ONE OF THE BEST DAYS EVER.

Period.

I wrote an entire post here about what exactly a "unity ceremony" is and why I wanted us to do one before our wedding day, so make sure to start there. Our unity ceremony - a sand ceremony to be specific - was not legal or official in any way. Our sand ceremony was symbolic.

KB and I have a really tight knit group of friends and while, originally, I intended for the sand ceremony to be about us blending our lives together (by blending sand), it became bigger than just us. KB and I invited our best men and maids of honors (and their partners!) to come to Oracle Park with us to all blend sand together. Getting married has made me majorly sentimental - you really realize how your friends become your family as you get older.

Anyway, before we get too sappy, I wanted to dive into all the details of the day and take you on the same tour we had of the STUNNING Oracle Park.

When KB and I were discussing having a sand ceremony, initially he had requested we do the ceremony and take some photos outside Oracle Park. We've had so many dates watching Giants games (I actually vlogged a Giants game date back in 2017!) The park, and the team, honestly mean the world to us as a couple. I seriously can't think of any place as quintessentially San Francisco as the ballpark.

After a little research, I learned that Oracle Park actually offers special occasion packages. You can book a special event (like a unity ceremony!) at Oracle Park and have just about the entire park all to yourselves.

And that is exactly what we did.

When booking a special event at Oracle Park, you basically have the entire park at your disposal. The team at Oracle was incredibly helpful in suggesting parts of the park to visit for photo opps, as well as the perfect place in the park to actually have the sand ceremony itself.

Our sand ceremony was incredibly simple and beautiful. One of KB's best men actually "officiated" and kicked off with an explanation of the ceremony, along with such a beautiful speech about us and our love of the park. You can watch the sand ceremony vlog here to hear a snippet of it!

Serious tear jerker.

The team recommended a specific spot in the stands to have the ceremony with beautiful, sweeping views of the park. I think the photos speak for themselves...

After the tear jerking best man speech, each couple poured a layer of sand into the main jar. KB and I poured the final layer of sand ourselves, with our friends layers supporting and holding our layer up. FOR LIFE, YA'LL.

Along with the Oracle Park team, we had such amazing vendors to help us execute such a stunning little ceremony.

All the blooms - SPECIFICALLY THE AMAZING FLOWER CROWN HI HELLO - were all from our wedding florist, Ida Blooms! Annie from Ida Blooms has been one of my fave wedding vendors to work with and I knew I wanted no one else to help style me for my sand ceremony. I shot over a few photos of my dress and the ballpark and she instantly honed in on the perfect boho flower crown that made me feel like a San Francisco Giants princess.

My romantic, boho style dress is the Adelaide Gown from BHLDN. I did an entire blog post about shopping for my unity ceremony dress here and have been teasing you guys to guess which dress I chose for months - a good chunk of ya'll guessed it! BHLDN made dress shopping so insanely easy and I love that they have such a wide range of styles at such a wide range of prices. I also barely had to get this dress altered - I only had it hemmed! Seriously stunned at how well BHLDN dresses fit - perfect for the last minute, budget, city hall, or ANY bride.

KB's tux is from none other than Generation Tux, our tux vendor for our upcoming wedding. Generation Tux makes not only ordering a tux easy - but also styling a look easy. KB was all about that hint of orange, nodding to his home team, in his look. We were able to order swatches to check out the color, and grooms also get a free try on to ensure the perfect fit! I love seeing KB all dressed up - and excited about it!

I'm going to drop the link here to booking special occasion packages at Oracle Park one more time because seriously I was so blown away by how amazing it was to experience the park in such an intimate way. I definitely had high hopes for this little sand ceremony, but I think both KB and I were just floored by how beautiful of an experience it actually was. Between the ceremony itself and a private look at our home park - it was just the best day ever.
