I am so flipping excited for today's post. Sorry not sorry about all the wedding content lately, but this one has to be my favorite so far.
Our invites from Minted came in and they are perfection.
I've really wrestled with our wedding aesthetic from day one. Your wedding is your chance to really express who you are as a couple. What's your style? What's your vibe? We aren't necessarily classic or country or preppy or modern. KB and I sit sort of in this sweet spot. We're modern, but nostalgic. Rustic, but not boho. Moody, but not edgy. Romantic. And definitely not colorful (okay - that one is because of me lol all black everything).
I'll break down all the deets of our invites down below, but basically I am INTO IT.
Minted has a crazy amount of invitation options, but what prevented it all from being overwhelming is that they allow you to order 10 FREE samples. I immediately added all the black invites I saw to cart lol.
We ended up loving these ones you see here the most! Black invites aren't really the norm and can lean a lot of ways. We loved the floral artwork and rustic/romantic elements this one had. Even though we're having a ballroom wedding, I really want to bring the nature I grew up with indoors. Flowers are going to be KEY.
Minted has the option to do a full wedding suite, but because we're doing online RSVPs, we were able to just add text on the back of our invite with instructions to RSVP at our website! Easy peasy and no need for the extra RSVP card (but if that is your jam - Minted totally gives you that option).
When it came to the packaging of the invite, I'll admit I struggled a bit. I am so hyper aware that people ultimately toss your entire invite into the trash - and the stamp and envelope are the first things to go! We went with simple craft paper envelopes, but did choose to upgrade to a custom stamp and wax seal. I really hated the idea that we'd have this beautiful invite...and then an ugly stamp. lol. YES I know that's extra, but what can I say. Also, I've been waiting for my letter to Hogwarts since I was 11 so honestly the wax seal had to happen.
ALSO - wait for it - Minted printed all the names and addresses onto our envelopes! AKA no hand writing!!! In the year of our Lord 2019 no one needs to hand write invitations. Thank u next.
I really pride myself in being 100% transparent with you guys. Our invitations were gifted to us by Minted, but when it comes to cost, their pricing is crazy reasonable. You can get beautiful invites and get all the basics you need OR you can really go through the roof and get super custom. So basically whatever your budget is - Minted is your one stop shop.
Okay my last and final tip is CHECK MINTED FOR DISCOUNT CODES. They always have amazing sales so honestly you can snag invites, save the dates, wax seals, ALL that jazz at stellar pricing.
