Sephora VIB Sale 2020 – Dates, Discount Codes, & Top Picks

It’s every beauty junkie’s favorite time of year: the semi-annual VIB Sephora Sale. We all know Sephora rarely if ever has sales – only two times a year with a spring sale (usually around April) and a fall sale (now!). So if you’ve got beauty items you’ve either been eyeing or need to restock on, snagging things with a 10-20% discount is the way to go.

Consider this blog post your full guide on the 2020 Sephora sale – from the dates, the details, and the best buys.

Find out all the details, dates, promo codes, and top picks from the VIB Sephora Sale in 2020 - all in this handy blog post!

Sephora Fall sale 2020 dates & discounts.

Mark your calendars – the Sephora sale dates are in!

The Sephora VIB sale dates for Fall 2020 are 10/30 for Rouge members, 11/3 for VIB members, and 11/5 if you’re a Sephora Beauty Insider. Your VIB status directly impacts your discount amount. Rouge members will get a 20% discount, VIB members a 15% discount, and Insider members a 10% discount.

It pays to be Rouge, my friends, so if you aren’t currently signed up for Sephora’s rewards program I highly recommend. There’s absolutely no cost to sign up as an “Insider” – which is an automatic 10% off!

Makeup

I haven’t exactly been wearing much makeup while in quarantine – my skin has been loving the freedom. But I have a huge soft spot for makeup. Makeup is like art and like armor. Nothing beats feeling your best thanks to perfectly applied winged eyeliner.

I like to use the Sephora sales as an opportunity to save a little money either on my staple products (like my foundation, mascara, etc) OR on new releases I’ve been eyeing.

Here are my top makeup must haves – most of which, I won’t lie, are BareMinerals because I’ve been on a BIG mineral makeup hype lately. Please know that my list is also 100% cruelty free.

BareMinerals Original Powder Foundation

During every Sephora VIB event I like to pick up my favorite face base products – mostly because these aren’t always the “fun” products to buy but they are staples I use every single day. In 2020 I’ve fallen back in love with my BareMinerals products. I’ve been loving the natural look and ingredients, especially as I’ve been pushing to go more “natural” with what I buy and consume. Can’t get much cleaner than BareMinerals, given the Original foundation only has five ingredients total (all of which are natural minerals). You can read my blog post filled with all my BareMinerals faves here.

BareMinerals Faux Tan

If you are a similar skin tone to mine and you haven’t tried the Faux Tan bronzer – you’re missing out. I love adding a little bit of natural warmth to my skin. I pretty much embrace how fair I am – it is what it is – so my goal is always just to bring natural color back into my face after using foundation rather than adding a true bronze. Faux Tan is a neutral, natural warmth that you can build up and doesn’t look like a fake tan (ahem – orange). A little goes a long way with this one – it’ll last you forever.

Kosas Big Clean Mascara

I don’t actually own this mascara – I’m just dying to try it. I’ve heard so many amazing things about Kosas and have yet to pick up any of their products, so this mascara is high on my list. The brush does look a little fat for my usual taste, but with a Rouge sale discount I think it’s worth it for me to pick up and try out.

Rare Beauty Liquid Blush

I picked up the entire Rare Beauty line when it first launched. I loved pretty much every product, but the liquid blushes specifically stand out to me as something I’d highly recommend to everyone – they’re THAT good. These liquid blushes are crazy pigmented (you only need the tiniest bit!) and have such beautiful colors and finishes. They only launched a month or so ago and already have nearly 5 stars with over 800 reviews on the Sephora website…so I’d say I’m not the only one in love with these babies.

Rare Beauty Brow Pencil + BareMinerals Brow Gel

While I used to be ride or die with my Benefit brow products, I’m just currently working through what I have and won’t be repurchasing because Benefit as a brand is not 100% cruelty free. Benefit chooses to sell in mainland China, where beauty products are required to be made available to be tested in state-certified labs on animals.

My cruelty free brow faves are the Rare Beauty Brow Pencil (which is super creamy!), topped off with the BareMinerals clear brow gel (which also helps your brows grow).

BareMinerals Mineralist Lipstick

If you have dry lips like I do, you’ll quickly become obsessed with this lipstick formula. Hydrating and natural in finish, the Mineralist Lipsticks honestly wear more like a pigmented balm than a heavy lipstick. I personally loving the shade “Grace” which is a perfect my lips but better kind of a shade.

Skincare

I won’t lie – I typically buy my hard hitting skincare from the likes of Dermstore or Elemis – but when there is a Sephora Beauty Insider sale I definitely pause to see if I can grab any of my faves at a 10-20% discount.

It’s a little trickier to find cruelty free skincare at Sephora and they don’t clearly label cruelty free products on their website – so you may need to double check before you buy.

Here are my fave Sephora sale skincare picks!

Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm

I’ll be honest this cleansing balm is not my fave balm of all time (that would be the Elemis balm) – but it is way more affordable and it does work well. The only reason I’m not 100% in love is because it utilizes polyethylene which is essentially a micro plastic. I can’t really tell you why that matters to me, but I just don’t love the idea of smearing a plastic on my skin and washing it down my drain into the oceans.

But that aside – it does work and it is more affordable than the Elemis balm so I had to give it a shoutout. It’s especially a good deal when you can snag it at VIB Sephora Sale pricing.

Dr. Dennis Gross Peel Pads

Dudeeee I got SO EXCITED when I saw Dr. Dennis Gross is, in fact, cruelty free! Because their products are the BOMB DOT COM. Seriously. The DDG Peel Pads are pricey, but probably one of the most powerful skincare products I have in my cabinets. These AHA and BHA peel pads help give a thorough chemical exfoliation that leaves skin feeling fresh and new. I’d absolutely recommend picking up a box of these bad boys – you will for sure see the difference in your skin.

Dr. Dennis Gross Stress Repair Cream with Niacinamide

If you’re going to buy a cruelty free moisturizer from Sephora on sale – the only one I recommend fully is the Dr. Dennis Gross Stress Repair Cream with Niacinamide. I love this moisturizer. I have dry skin and it’s perfectly rich and hydrating, without any irritation.

If ya’ll follow me on Instagram you for sure know I love my Olay red jars and am a huge believer you can get great moisturizers at low price points, but if you’re wanting to snag a higher end moisturizer at a discount Dr. D is the way to go!

Ya’ll – the Sephora annual sales are my fave. Because I love getting a discount. Doesn’t everyone? So I’m going to need you all to drop YOUR favorite VIB Sephora Sale picks from the sale down in the comments below so I can peep them all and add to cart.
