Happy Monday, babes! I’m actually not sure if Monday’s are ever happy – but I’m keepin’ it positive.
I feel like I’ve been crazy fashion focused lately fresh off of New York Fashion Week. I want to do a lot more lifestyle, travel, and wellness content in 2017.
My biggest wellness kick as of the last few months has been diffusing essential oils. I’m pretty late to the party on this one but am so glad I jumped on board. As a naturally anxious human, it’s tough to find things that calm me down and help me sleep.
Essential oils are my jam.
What’s up with this oil trend.
My Facebook feed has been filled with nothing but Rodan + Fields, body wraps, and essential oils. I can’t speak for the first two – but the essential oil trend is a thing.
I’m not at the selling or buying oils via Facebook level, but I am a believer in using them. Essential oils have a lot of natural benefits and it’s awesome because it’s as easy as breathing them in.
Essential oils for different ailments.
I swear there’s an oil for everything. Lavender helps aid in both stress relief and sleep. Eucalyptus is great when you’ve got the sniffles. Peppermint is awesome when you have an upset tummy.
I pretty much only diffuse lavender at this point because I like to use my diffuser at night right before bed.
My set up.
I’ve been using my essential oils with this diffuser I got on Amazon. I had a white plastic one for a while, but once I was on a roll using it regularly I upgraded. I love how this one looks like a dark wood. The little band of light on it also changes colors like a rainbow.
My model is also super fancy because it has three different time settings: 1 hour, 3 hours, and 6 hours. It holds tons of water and can go strong for hours without having to be refilled.
If I remember correctly it cost me about $50 to get myself all set up (fancy diffuser plus some starter oils). Honestly it was $50 well spent. I feel like I’m going to sleep in a spa at night when I turn this baby on.
Have you tried diffusing essential oils? Tell me your favorite oils in the comments below!
I almost got the same diffuser this Christmas! I got a different one but I love it just as much as you love yours. I use lavender at night after some gentle yoga and deep breathing, and in the morning I swear by grapefruit for a refreshing start!

Ohh i’ve never tried grapefruit! i’ve actually never diffused in the morning. I feel like I’m always in such a rush to get out the door. I’ll totally have to try on the weekend!

Love this post!!! I am so lazy about doing things like this. Need to get back in it!
