Gluten Free Red Sauce Pasta
This delicious (& healthy!) red sauce pasta recipe is packed with protein! Flavorful sauce, lean ground turkey, and chickpea pasta make for a hearty and healthy meal.

Medium sauce pan
- 1 box Banza Chickpea Pasta (your choice of noodle)
- 1 package Lean ground turkey
- 1 jar Rao's Tomato Basil Sauce OR Marinara Sauce
- 2 cups Chopped mushrooms
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- Salt & pepper to taste
Start boiling your water in your medium sized pot for your pasta!
Toss chopped mushrooms into your medium saucepan on medium heat (no need for oils if you're using a nonstick pan!). Cook until the mushrooms begin to soften.
Once the mushrooms have started to soften, add lean ground turkey into the medium sauce pan, bump heat up to high. Use a spatula to "break up" the meat as it sautees.
Add Banza pasta into your boiling water. Keep an eye on this pasta - it will have some foam appear approx 3 mins after being added to the hot water (skim off the top and dispose). This pasta is also prone to overcooking, so check frequently (every 2 mins or so).
When meat is fully cooked (no longer pink), add jar of Rao's sauce and stir. When sauce starts to bubble, the sauce is complete.
When pasta is fully cooked, strain, and add into your medium sauce pan with your sauce.
