The Best New Beauty Launches of 2020

2020 in the beauty world is honestly off to a solid start. I have a major addiction to new product releases, from skincare to eyeshadow palettes – and there is a LOT on my radar right now – so wanted to dive into the best new beauty launches of 2020!

I’ve also honestly been discovering products that maybe didn’t release in 2020 – but I’m only just now getting my hands on. I love playing human guinea pig and testing ALL THE PRODUCTS.

So let’s talk about what’s new in my beauty room.

New beauty products 2020

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Instant Eyeshadow Palette in Pillow Talk

At $75, this palette is PRICEY. I was eyeing this new release from CT for weeks before I finally decided to bite the bullet. I have a few smaller palettes from Charlotte Tilbury and love the quality of the shadows (I actually wore mostly CT on my wedding day).

I also love the shade range in this Instant Eyeshadow Palette as well. Charlotte’s Pillow Talk range focuses on soft, universally flattering peaches, pinks, and nudes. I love that this eyeshadow palette has looks designated for day, date – and even a funkier few shadows for “dream” (for those of us wanting to get a little more bold and artsy).

Yes – this palette is crazy expensive. But if you can stomach the price point and enjoy the nude shade range, the quality is definitely there!

NARS Afterglow Lip Balm

I have a horrible habit of picking at my chronically dry lips. I can’t help it! Because of this, I rarely reach for lipsticks. The NARS Afterglow Lip Balm is sort of like a lip balm meets a lipstick. The Afterglow Balm is soft, hydrating, and smooth, with just a hint of color. If you’re looking for thick, opaque shades – this isn’t the product for you. But if you’re like me and looking for an easy breezy lipstick replacement – this could just be your new obsession. It’s definitely mine.

The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%

One of my biggest skin issues is general uneven tone (and definitely redness). Getting regular facials completely changed my skin for the better (read more about that here), but my aesthetician specifically recommended I add an Azelaic Acid suspension into my routine.

The Ordinary makes this super affordable, but effective, Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%. Ringing in at under $8, you seriously can’t find a better low budget option to add to your routine. I’ve definitely seen a big improvement in the brightness and clarity of my skin, especially when pairing with my favorite vitamin c serum (expensive, but by far the best product in my cabinet) and a hyaluronic acid.

Buxom Xtrovert Lifting Mascara

Buxom launched a new mascara and I’ve been giving it a whirl for a few weeks now. I’m a huge fan of Buxom products – they honestly make the best lip glosses of all time. I do love the brush on this new mascara and the overall look to the lashes it gives. My only word of caution on this bad boy is that if you’re prone to watery, runny eyes, this mascara could have a risk of smudging. I find I have to clean up under my eyes just a hair around lunchtime, but otherwise I’m loving the look!
