One of my favorite parts of traveling is packing my makeup bag. Is that weird? I just love organizing. I love picking out only the best of the best items to pack away and putting each piece neatly in its place.
Finding the best travel makeup bag has been a labor of love. I’ve tried your standard cosmetic cases and hated how all my products and brushes were floating loosely together. I also tried a train case for a while, but struggled with bulky it looked.
Once I found this makeup case by Vera Bradley I was hooked. FINALLY I’ve found the perfect makeup bag for travel and I’m ready to dish alllll about it.
The bag is called the “Blush and Brush” cosmetic case. I love that the bag has two separate compartments. There’s a large open compartment to toss in all your products (the large size also has side pockets on the inside). The second compartment is actually a brush holder! Genius.

My travel makeup essentials.
StriVectin Primer - This primer from Strivectin is the bomb dot com. It has a gel like smooth finish to it, filling in pores with each use.
It Cosmetics CC Cream - This CC cream has been one of my ride or die foundations. I love the creamy consistency and the medium coverage!
NYX Concealer - This NYX concealer is perfect for tired under eyes. I’ll definitely be needing this one for our trip.
Glossier Wowder - My fave powder of all time. Gives a smooth, dust free finish every time.
Smashbox Eyeshadow Primer - My ride or die eyeshadow primer. This helps my shadows STICK.
Diorshow mascara and Almay liner pen - I love a good cat eye. The Diorshow mascara is an old favorite of mine and Almay’s liner is a new addition to my bag!
Benefit Blush Bar palette, Benefit Girl Meets Pearl, Almay Highlighter - Cheeks, cheeks, CHEEKS. The Benefit palette has all the blushes I’ll need for travel and I love switching between this Benefit highlighter and Almay highlighter.

Origins mini masks - I live and breathe for masks so love that Origins makes mini masks to take on the go!
Olay serum - A travel size of one of my fave Olay products? Duh.
Murad cleanser - This vitamin C packed cleanser is KEY. It helps even out skin tone and brighten.
Mario Badescu facial spray - Because facial spray gives me life. I love a good spritz mid flight.
Neutrogena sunscreen - SPF is crucial!
OGX shampoo and conditioner - I love these little mini shampoos to keep my hair healthy on the go.
