I've had microblading for about two years now and am obsessed. I get asked about my microblading all the time - most of the time people can't even believe my brows aren't "real."
The long story short is that microblading is the bomb dot com. Would highly recommend if you currently fill in your brows every day.
I did a ton of research about the best microblading in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Honestly with all the choices at my fingertips, I feel super thankful to have found Brow & Line. Xen is the powerhouse behind microblading at Brow & Line and did my brows back in March of 2018. When the new year rolled around I knew I needed a touchup and was quick to hit Xen up again.

Xen manages to craft bold brows that look natural - almost like they could've been mine all along. I loved my brows the first time around and raced back to the studio for this yearly touchup.
Xen always starts by doing plenty of careful measuring, sketching away to get the perfect shape for the brow-to-be. She had me take a peek to give my blessing before diving in.

What is microblading?
I like to call my microblading my "prison tat."
Basically its a semi-permanent face tattoo.
Microblading involves the use of a tiny blade to scrape hair like strokes into the skin, giving the illusion of hair where there is none. Microblading is most commonly done to create fullness to the eyebrows and on the hairline.
How much does microblading cost?
The cost of microblading varies based on where you live. In the Bay Area, microblading can range anywhere from $300-$1,000. I know that's a BIG range - but it's real! Microblading in San Francisco can be much pricier than a quick trip across the bridge.
Is microblading painful?
I get this question all the time. A lot of people want to get microblading done, but are concerned about the pain. Which is totally fair!
I'll be honest - microblading hurts. Thankfully the brows are numbed during the process, but even with numbing cream you can definitely still feel pain. I'm a wimp and I give it about a 5 on the pain scale.
How long does microblading last?
Microblading lasts approximately 1-2 years. Everyone's skin reacts differently to the pigments. My skin is on the drier side - I'm sloughing off skin cells like no other! Microblading lasts about a year on me and then I need a touch up.
I love how my brows turned out and seriously will never hesitate to do touchups. I'm obsessed with not filling in my brows every day - and they always look flawless. A big thank you to Xen at Brow & Line!
