I have had back pain basically since I graduated college and migrated from walking around campus to spending hours upon hours behind a desk in a corporate office. IT’S A THING.
While most modern offices have gradually started adopting standing desks – my home office definitely wasn’t as well equipped as my “work” office. I’m likely going to be working from home for the foreseeable future and knew that I’d need to overhaul my home office to make it a place I could work from painlessly for hours on end.
A standing desk was the highest priority item to buy on my list, but the cost and design of most standing desks I saw were always major turnoffs…

So let’s talk about my new Fully standing desk.
The exact Fully standing desk I ordered.
Fully makes an assortment of standing desks in different materials and colors. I opted for the Jarvis standing desk in laminate. Their bamboo models looked beautiful, but were incredibly backordered when I was shopping and I didn’t have the patience to wait.
In all honesty I’m wildly impressed with how great the laminate looks. I love the darker color – it really pulled my office to a much moodier, inspiring palette. The desktop itself is also super durable and doesn’t have the look of a cheap laminate standing desk.
How quickly did Fully ship my desk?
Straight up – Fully took their sweet time shipping my desk. I ordered during a time where clearly I wasn’t the only human remodeling their home office mid-pandemic. It took close to a month for my desk to arrive and it arrived in three separate packages.
Was the Fully standing desk expensive?
In comparison to other standing desk brands, which tend to float close to the $1,000 mark, the Fully standing desk is relatively “affordable.” My desk, all in, came out to around $550.
How hard was the desk to set up?If you’ve ever built any IKEA furniture, you’re totally equipped to put together a Fully standing desk. There aren’t many parts or steps involved in the building process and the instructions are relatively easy to follow. I do recommend you have a partner on hand to help out as some of the parts can get a bit heavy, but otherwise the set up process is fairly simple.
Long story short – is the Fully standing desk worth it?
Hands down – I love my new desk. Love.
I love the flexibility to stand for a portion of my day working from home. I love how efficient the desk is when it comes to set up and space. I also love my lack of back pain since getting back to standing “at work.”
